The combination of CNC machine tools and industrial robots is reshaping modern manufacturing

Taking the processing of automobile engine cylinder heads as an example, the typical process of automated loading and unloading is as follows:

Step 1: Blank supply

Step 2: Robot grabs blank

The robot moves to the bin position, and the end fixture (such as pneumatic gripper) clamps the blank.

The robot carries the blank to the door of the CNC machine tool and waits for the machine tool ready signal.

Step 3: CNC machine tool preparation

The CNC completes the previous processing, opens the protective door and sends the **"Ready for Loading"** signal

The machine tool spindle stops and the fixture is released (such as hydraulic chuck release).

Step 4: Blank loading into CNC

The robot enters the CNC work area and places the blank accurately on the machine tool fixture.

The machine tool fixture clamps the workpiece, the robot exits and closes the protective door.

Step 5: CNC processing

The CNC starts the processing program, and the robot returns to the standby position or performs other tasks (such as loading and unloading another CNC).
